To be placed in any chosen position, the filter combines four filtering steps:

• Extra large surface mechanical step to trap larger debris.
• Biological cartridge to enhance the growth of anaerobic colonies of bacteria.
• Chemical step for the adsorption of the ammonia developed by the organic waste materials.
• Wet-and-dry cartridge, to enhance the growth of aerobic colonies of bacteria and a better filtering of the water.

The filter comes complete with all media, circulation pump and it can be decorated at will with the self-adhesive decorations supplied: an innovative way to get children involved with this hobby.

The pump supplied allows the continuous flow of water onto the face of the waterfall of the volcano without disturbing the quiet habitat of turtles and amphibians and provides water re-circulation and oxygenation.

The filtering system is inside the volcano and is easy to reach for any maintenance and for cleaning.

Children will enjoy the being able to decorate the filter with the pre-cut self-adhesive stickers supplied and will get involved in installing the filter and the keeping of their small friends.

A unit that combines the unique characteristics of the self-rotating water outlet ("Wavelet system" which automatically and continuously moves clock-wise and back) with an efficient and compact filtering element.

The large surface of the filter cartridge, the adsorbing material contained in the proper chamber and the "wave effect" of the Wavelet system, assure the best filtering action together with a perfect water circulation and great surface movement making this filter suitable for tanks up to 100 litres.

The adsorbing material can be replaced independently and without having to replace the filter cartridge.
